We offer students a variety of options to take advantage of the educational opportunities at UNCW. Please determine which category below best fits you. Specific requirements and procedures are provided for each category. If you feel none of these categories fit your circumstances, please contact the Office of Admissions to discuss details specific to your situation.

Freshman
You are currently enrolled in high school, a high school graduate who has not attended a college or university, or a student who completed some college credit while in high school. More

Transfer
You have graduated from high school and attended or are currently enrolled in another two or four year college or university and wish to transfer to UNCW. More

International
You are a prospective student who does not hold United States citizenship and wish to pursue your undergraduate degree at UNCW. More

Graduate
You have completed your undergraduate work or will complete it by time of enrollment, and wish to pursue a masters or PhD at UNCW. More

Other

Re-enrolling
You have previously attended UNCW as a degree-seeking student and wish to continue your enrollment. More

Permission (Visiting)
You are enrolled at another college or university and want to take classes at UNCW with the intent of returning to your home institution. More

Special Undergraduate
You have graduated from a four-year accredited college or university and you want to take classes but do not want to earn a second degree (if you want to earn a second degree you must apply as a transfer student. More
